Our Programs.
Since its founding, Prospera Reentry has delivered purpose-driven, life-transforming programming across two areas of impact: pre-release workforce readiness and pre-release work-release training.
Our programs are designed to address the staggering 70% unemployment rate returning citizens face upon release from prison.
This innovative initiative allows incarcerated individuals, during their last 90 days in prison, to participate in an externship with private companies that enables them to receive:
Real-world work experience
Transferrable skills
Monthly evaluations
Employer referrals
Re-entry resources
The participants in our program earn money enable them to pay fines and child support, purchase vehicles, and reenter society with stability and dignity.
Pre-Release Workforce Empowerment Program
(Grafton Correctional Institution)
Through our pre-release workforce empowerment program, clients build savings, secure post-release employment at a livable wage, and prepare to meet obligations such as fines, child support, housing, and transportation.
Pre-Release Apprenticeship Program
Prospera offers a two-year screen-printing apprenticeship program at Grafton Reintegration Center, certified by the U.S. Department of Labor.
This exciting opportunity furnishes inmates with 4,000 hours of training. Graduates reentering society are hired with confidence by University Tees, one of our partner businesses.
Pre-Release Workforce Empowerment Program
(Northeast Reintegration Center)
Prospera Reentry also oversees the pre-release, work-release program at the Northeast Reintegration Center. These women worked at Diamond Metals, LockKeepers, Marble Room, and Il Venetian.
