Who We Are.

In September 2017, the board of trustees of True Freedom Ministries, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) established True Freedom Enterprises—now Prospera Reentry—a separate 501(c)(3) dedicated to workforce empowerment for individuals returning from incarceration.

Since its founding, Prospera Reentry has delivered purpose-driven, life-transforming programming across two areas of impact: pre-release workforce readiness and pre-release work-release training.

Our Why.

82%

Precent of children of incarcerated parents are projected to be arrested in their lifetime. Breaking this cycle is critical.

42%

Research shows meaningful employment at a livable wage reduces recidivism by 42%.

Livable Wage

Participants in our program earn a livable wage, enabling them to pay fines and child support, purchase vehicles, and reenter society with stability and dignity.

Revolutionary.

Prospera is revolutionizing prisoner reentry.

From manufacturing precision woodworking tools to excelling in the culinary arts, our clients are gaining real-world work experience prior to release.

In 2025, we transported men from the Grafton Reintegration Center to the following sites: Woodpecker’s, Lorain County Government Building, Lorain County Dog Kennel, Lorain County Recycling Center, 1928 Public House, Brew Garden, and Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries.

We also oversaw the pre-release, work-release program at the Northeast Reintegration Center. These women worked at Diamond Metals, LockKeepers, Marble Room, and Il Venetian.

The Prospera Reentry Organization has become a reliable partner to our institution, but more importantly to the men that live there that need opportunities to grow and succeed.
